fashionb.jpg

I’ve been doing an awful lot of fashion photography lately, and I have been toying with whether to include the fashion photography on the www.crowded.co.uk gallery or not.  Essentially, it has to appeal to a select number of people, enough to put it up on their walls as a limited edition photograph.

I was thinking of something along the lines of the above image….I feel the black and white photographs will work the best.  The winter season clothes are now due to be photographed over the coming weeks, so I’ll chew over it for a while.

Couple, Vannes, France (1998)

I have been asked several times lately if this photograph was posed - it genuinely wasn’t.  I was travelling around France and ended up in a park in Vannes, not knowing anyone there, or even much of the language.

This couple appeared separately, met during lunch time, walked around the park hand in hand, stopping for a kiss occasionally, and then parting.  It was a really peaceful place there.

Kind of reminded me of the photo mentioned here.

Alpine Flowers, Swiss Alps (2006)

This photograph was taken just last year in Switzerland at the highest flower garden in the Swiss Alps.

Without a doubt, this was the coldest I have ever been.  The ground was covered in a thin sheet of ice and the air was bitterly cold - but luckily there was no wind - so the flowers behaved themselves.  Even just lying on the ground made me breathless at that height.

It took the best part of a day to get to the top of the mountain, photograph a series of flowers and then get back down again, but it was a good day.

There have been two competitions running lately for one of the large size limited edition prints - one in City Living magazine and one in Ten4 Magazine (run by channel 4).  The winners are as follows: Ms Wickins (Ten4) and Mr Peet (City Living).  I’ll get the prints produced for you today, and post them to you next week.

 Thank you everybody who entered.
