Piazza Navona (2001)

Piazza Navona, Rome (2001)

Another photo from Italy, this one taken in the Piazza Navona in Rome – a beautiful square which inevitably attracts tourists – who, again, inevitably want to buy a portrait from a local artist.

Here the artists daughter has joined her mother after school and sits, patiently, waiting for her to finish work for the day.  I felt really sorry for this girl, I don’t know why, she just had a kind of sad demeanour about her.
