I am in need of an occasional photographers assistant – couple of days a month I guess. The commissions side of the business covers everything from fashion to architecture and just sometimes I need someone to help my 35 year old bones carry things up flights of stairs, shine lights at models, and smile at clients. The pay is fair, the hours can be long, there is usually lots of lifting, and he or she still needs to be smiling at the end of a day. They also need to be based in the Birmingham area and be fairly smart.
If anyone springs to mind, they can have a look at my website (www.craigholmes.com) and they can email me from that, letting me know about themselves. Of course, they need to be interested in photography….but don’t really need experience.

Hi, I’ve only just come across this so no doubt you will have found the help you need, however I was wondering if any work experience opportunities come up, or perhaps just shadowing, whether you would consider me to help out. I have just completed a media and communications degree, however didn’t specialise in many photography modules so it is something I am still keen to learn!! I would *love* to be a photographer assistant, I’m always happy and smiling and get really excited about new artistic things. So if you haven’t yet found your assistant I’d be very keen!!
